How to get to our hotel in the Salzburg city centre

At the 4-star Hotel Wolf-Dietrich, you can look forward to Salzburg’s one-of-a-kind Old Town charm. You will find many of Salzburg’s highlights and comforts just a stone’s throw from the hotel.

Travelling to our hotel in the Salzburg city centre by CAR

A1 motorway to the Salzburg-Nord exit (Exit 288),
Vogelweiderstraße towards ‘Zentrum’ (city centre),
before the Kapuzinerberg, turn right onto Schallmooser Hauptstraße,
after you pass the Hotel Hofwirt, turn right onto Franz-Josefs-Straße,
at the third intersection (Schrannengasse), turn left and immediately left again onto Wolf-Dietrich-Straße,
the Altstadthotel Hotel Wolf-Dietrich is on the right side at the end of the street.

Please note! There is a bollard directly in front of the hotel – entry codes are available from reception. Please park your car just in front of the bollard and come to the hotel to get the code.

Getting to our hotel in the Salzburg city centre by TRAIN

From the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main station), you have three options:

15-minute walk to the hotel
7-minute taxi ride
10-minute bus ride. Take bus no. 2 (direction: Obergnigl) to the Wolf-Dietrich-Straße stop. Once you exit the bus, turn right; the first intersection is Wolf-Dietrich-Straße. It is a two-minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel.

Getting to Salzburg by PLANE

There are two possibilities to reach our hotel in the Salzburg city centre from Salzburg Airport.

20-minute taxi ride
Take bus no. 2 (direction: Obergnigl) to the Wolf-Dietrich-Straße stop. Once you exit the bus, turn right; the first intersection is Wolf-Dietrich-Straße. It is a two-minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel.

Important Information

Hotel adjacent to a pedestrian zone

The Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich enjoys a central location just 50 metres from the Linzergasse.

Access to the hotel by car

Hotel guests can access the hotel by car at any time, allowing you to check in and out in peace. Please come straight to the hotel when you arrive; you will receive the code for the bollard at reception.

Hotel parking

You can park your car in a public, video-monitored garage just a two-minute walk from the hotel. When you arrive, please first come to the hotel before driving to the garage.

One hotel, two buildings & plenty of room

The Altstadthotel Wolf-Dietrich consists of two buildings. The Residenz building is located directly opposite the main hotel building.
